Bilingual Marketing Professional

Strategy, hands-on execution, AI-assisted production, and performance reporting, in French and English.

Hello! I'm Laura.

I'm a bilingual French-English marketing professional with 10 years of experience across France and Canada, mainly in the insurance sector.

I enjoy both the hands-on side of marketing — writing content, publishing organic and paid social posts, building landing pages, running email campaigns — and the strategic thinking behind it all.

I also measure what I build through testing, performance reporting, and continuous optimization. That's how I ensure the work delivers results.

I use AI to move faster from plan to execution, so I can spend more energy on strategy, judgment, and improvement.

The challenge

The business was acquiring new subscribers at an advertising cost of CAD 99, above their average first payment of CAD 81. The owner wanted to improve acquisition profitability and determine how much to invest.

My role & actions

As the person responsible for paid acquisition, I worked across the entire customer journey:

  • Improve conversion tracking reliability and optimize the landing page: offer, pricing, social proof and mobile experience.
  • Test video hooks, customer testimonials and audiences.
  • Reallocate budgets across Meta, Google Search and YouTube based on cost per new subscriber.

The key decision

Despite the lower advertising cost per subscriber, tests with higher budgets brought the marginal LTV / CAC ratio down to 2.3, below our threshold of 3. I recommended stabilizing spend and prioritizing retention before increasing the budget again.

My role & actions

Responsible for managing the advisor campaigns, I worked on creative development, delivery and optimization:

  • Define the messaging, write ad copy and coordinate visual production.
  • Manage campaigns with the media agency, then propose and launch the first advertising campaigns on Assuris’ LinkedIn page.
  • Set up tracking in GTM, analyze visits and conversions, and adjust formats and budgets.

The key decision

When adjustments to Google Display proved insufficient, I tested sponsored posts on the Advisor.ca and Conseiller.ca LinkedIn pages with the agency, then reallocated budget to that approach. The results also led me to reduce banner spending and propose a dedicated budget for the first campaigns on Assuris’ own LinkedIn page.

Defining a marketing strategy to acquire and retain B2B clients

  • Marketing strategy
  • Market research
  • B2B acquisition

The challenge

Topax wanted to grow a high-value, repeat client base. The business relied heavily on referrals and relationships managed by two sales representatives, without a CRM or shared follow-up process. It needed both more opportunities and a more structured approach to converting them into clients.

Deliverables & next steps

Target clients & value proposition
Priority company profiles, personas and research-based sales messaging
B2B acquisition strategy
SEO and Google Ads, client referrals and account-based outreach (ABM), connected to a qualification and follow-up journey
Action plan
CRM foundations, acquisition and retention: priorities, responsibilities, investment and key metrics

Following this strategy, Topax started an initial website SEO and content optimization project.

View my approach Hide details : Defining a marketing strategy to acquire and retain B2B clients

My role & actions

I conducted customer research, analyzed the market and audited existing channels to build a marketing strategy spanning the value proposition, acquisition and account development.

  • Design and conduct the customer survey, from writing questions to analyzing responses, to understand buying criteria, satisfaction and expectations.
  • Audit Topax’ existing acquisition channels, including Google Ads campaigns, and analyze ten competitors to identify acquisition opportunities.
  • Build personas and the value proposition by connecting buyer expectations, market alternatives and Topax’ capabilities.
  • Define the acquisition and retention journey, then sequence initiatives according to prerequisites, cost and available resources.

The strategic choices

I organized the strategy in a clear sequence: define priority clients and the value proposition, then structure sales follow-up with a CRM and a qualification and follow-up process. I then sequenced acquisition channels according to their prerequisites, available resources and time to impact: client referrals and Google Search Ads for near-term opportunities, SEO and targeted account outreach for sustainable acquisition. Each stage specified what to launch, in what order and how to measure the results.

Creating a bilingual blog to showcase Assuris’ expertise

  • Content strategy

View my approach Hide details : Creating a bilingual blog to showcase Assuris’ expertise

My role & actions

I identified the need, recommended creating the blog and led the project from research to launch:

  • Define the strategy, prepare the brief and mockups, and scope the page structure and functionality.
  • Coordinate the web developer and marketing agency to build the blog and its visual identity.
  • Engage internal experts, organize translation and coordinate article publication in both languages.

The key decision

After researching how comparable organizations showcased their expertise, I recommended a dedicated blog. This format brought expert contributions together in a recognizable space and supported a lasting editorial presence.

Building a bilingual publishing system across five social accounts

  • Editorial strategy
  • Creative direction
  • Agency management

The challenge

When I joined, Assuris published roughly once a month on LinkedIn and Facebook. The goal was to build a consistent publishing capability that could scale up if a member insurer’s failure required daily communication.

The 2025 engagement results reflect a cadence of one post per week per account.

View my approach Hide details : Building a bilingual publishing system across five social accounts

My role & actions

I built the editorial workflow and organized collaboration with the agency:

  • Develop the bilingual presence: create the French Facebook account, then launch Instagram in French and English.
  • Design the content calendar, idea bank and reusable templates.
  • Prepare content in batches: post copy, on-image text and creative direction.
  • Manage the agency responsible for producing visuals and scheduling posts through Hootsuite.

The key decision

After maintaining one post every business day for a year, we chose to return to one weekly post per account to devote more time and budget to priority projects. The production system, reusable content and agency collaboration remained in place to increase the cadence again when needed.

First 90 days

What I do first in a new role.

How I approach a marketing role from day one: understand the business context, clarify priorities, then build repeatable ways of working.

Days 1-30 · Immerse and audit

Understand the business

Immerse myself in business objectives, market, segments, customer journey, and current channels. Meet internal experts and understand the constraints behind each priority.

Days 31-60 · Prioritize and plan

Focus the effort

Review findings, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and make clear choices about where to focus. Turn priorities into a concrete plan with timelines, assets, and tests.

Days 61-90 · Systematize and improve

Build the system

Turn what works into repeatable processes for planning, execution, and measurement. Document decisions and next steps so progress carries over every time.

What I bring

Strategic thinking. Hands-on execution. Continuous improvement.

I work across all three levels: I think strategically when the role needs direction, I build hands-on when it needs execution, and I measure and improve so results compound over time.

Strategic ownership

I am comfortable taking a broad marketing goal and turning it into clear choices: priorities, trade-offs, timelines, assets, tests, and next steps.

Hands-on building

I enjoy the practical work of marketing: writing copy, creating content, launching campaigns, testing ideas, and analyzing results.

AI-assisted production

I use AI daily across marketing workflows. I set the process first, then AI executes it, while quality control and final decisions stay with me.

Performance reporting

I track performance closely, test and compare approaches, and make recommendations based on business impact, not vanity metrics.

Stakeholder communication

I work with internal and external stakeholders, adapt my communication to each audience, and use clear recommendations to move decisions forward.

AI workflow

I use AI to execute faster without lowering quality.

I start with specific marketing workflows that I’ve defined and validated. AI executes the repeatable steps; I retain ownership of strategy, decisions and quality control.

The goal is not to replace judgment. The goal is to reduce execution friction so I can spend more energy on strategy, clarity, optimization and growth.
